Chef Juan Emilio Villaseñor
Juan Emilio Villaseñor is a Guanajuato culinary ambassador and a Mexican live-fire cuisine specialist. He began as a grill cook at 17 and later founded La Cocinoteca in León, now a gastronomic reference in the region. A Fire Master with the Mexican Society of Grillers, he has earned international recognition at the Memphis in May World BBQ Championship. Named Chef of the Year 2021 by Guía México Gastronómico, he is also a Club Vatel and Disciple Escoffier member. His cuisine is rooted in wood fire, smoke, and the honest pursuit of peace and joy through flavor.
Chef Leobardo Lara
Chef and owner of La Fonda del Recuerdo, with over 30 years dedicated to authentic Mexican cuisine. He studied at Universidad Iberoamericana, The Culinary Institute of America (Anáhuac), and IPADE. He has participated in culinary festivals in Mexico, the U.S., and Europe, always honoring Mexico’s rich culinary traditions.
Chef Alfredo Villanueva
Originally from Mexico City, he opened Botanero Santa Lucía in Monterrey in 1998, establishing it as a benchmark for Northern Mexican cuisine. A self-taught chef with experience in kitchens across Spain, the U.S. (Meadowood, 3 Michelin stars), and Israel, he has represented Mexico at international culinary events since 2013. He now leads Villa Torél in Valle de Guadalupe, recognized by Latin America’s 50 Best, World’s 50 Best Discovery, and the 2024 Michelin Guide (Bib Gourmand).
Chef Pedro Evia
A Mexican chef known for his contributions to contemporary cuisine, with a strong focus on the culinary traditions of the Yucatán Peninsula. Self-taught, he has worked to bring Yucatecan gastronomy to the global stage by blending modern techniques with regional roots. In 2024, he was awarded two knives at The Best Chef Awards, and his restaurant Q78 Gastromezcal in Madrid was featured in the 2023 Michelin Guide. He has also founded successful concepts such as Kioyu Sky Lounge and Kuuk, the most-awarded restaurant in Yucatán.
Chef Sergio Camacho
Mexican chef and a leading figure in Avant-Garde Cuisine in Mexico. He has worked at world-renowned restaurants such as El Bulli, Arzak, Le Broche, Le Cirque (New York), and Diana at the St. Regis (Mexico City). Currently, President of Vatel Club Mexico and head of his own catering company. A regular on El Gourmet TV channel and participant in major culinary events like Food & Wine, Morelia en Boca, Millesime, and Casa Paladar.
Chef Zahie Tellez
Zahie Téllez is a Mexican chef and media personality, known for her work on El Gourmet since 2010. She’s a partner in six restaurants in Italy, including the Michelin-starred “Viva” in Milan, and was executive chef at Salotto in Mexico City. A judge on MasterChef Celebrity (2023–2024), she’s participated in events like Millesime México, EXPO Milan, and Parabere Forum. She received the Medal of Tourism Merit (2019) and the Ángel del Turismo (2025), and in 2023, a new blue corn variety was named after her: H303 Zahie. Her book Mi historia a través de los sabores celebrates her culinary roots.
